I’m one of those people who really hates to drink water. When I tell people this, I usually get the response: “What kind of weirdo doesn’t like water?”
This kind of weirdo apparently, and I know I’m not alone.
Despite the fact that I’m not really a fan of H20, I recognize how vital hydration is to our physical and mental health. So I’m starting a water challenge for February. Yes, I did pick the shortest possible month for this miserable task. For an agonizing 28 days, I’m going to attempt to drink 2 liters of water every day.
Dealing with Taste
Some people seem to be more sensitive to it than others, but not all waters are created equal, and for something that is supposedly tasteless, there can be a huge range of tastes. So I’m going to try a variety of flavored waters over the course of the challenge.
A few of the flavor combinations I’m excited to try are:
- Blueberry Orange
- Cucumber Mint
- Strawberry Lemon Basil
- Honeydew Raspberry
Making a Plan
I’m going to set up a water bottle marked with the times like this one. It was difficult to find a 1-liter water bottle (most of them are .6 or .75 liters) so I’ll have to drink 3 bottles a day to reach my goal, but just having a visual way to represent each hour is inspiring.
